Cleaning: A shoe brush helps remove dirt and dust off shoes. Depending on the texture and material of your shoe, choose the hardness (or softness) of bristles of your shoe brush. A soft-medium bristled brush is the best option.
Tip – Running a moist cloth over your shoe before scrubbing it with a brush will give better results.

Conditioning: For leather shoes especially, conditioning is extremely essential to avoid cracks and to keep them well moisturised. Try using a leather shoe cream for the same – keeps the shoe hydrated and shiny.
Tip – Make sure you remove the extra conditioner from the edges your leather shoe after a few minutes to avoid it from thickening.

Polishing: Use a shoe shiner sponge for quick polishing of patent leather, synthetic leather shoes. For a lasting sheen, the good old wax shoe polish works best. Special care has to be taken while polishing your suede shoes - make sure you opt for a good quality suede shoe polish.
Tip – Have two separate brushes for cleaning and polishing. Also, ensure that the brush is dry and clean before you use it for polishing. A dirty brush could stain your shoe.
